Our client is a leading group with a strong Food Manufacturing and Distribution division.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to be based at their head office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

JOB OVERVIEW

Driving expansion forward in both existing and new businesses.
Reports to: To Sector Executive Vice-President with strong dotted line to Group CFO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Support the Executive VP to drive cultural change throughout as required to execute agreed upon business strategy.
  2. Drive the Budgeting & Balanced Scorecard processes development with the business units. Ensure that these processes are used as key tools and progress measuring barometers to support business performance.
  3. Support decision-making processes by providing meaningful ad hoc analysis & financial perspective on all commercial decisions.
  4. Timely and meaningful monthly, quarterly, annual business & financial (consolidations) reporting plus planning & forecasting in the level of detail required by each internal and external user group.
  5. Drive effective cash flow management, focusing on capital efficiency management (working capital minimization and control; capex financial control management; capital employed barometers and strategies).
  6. Manage special projects (e.g., supporting potential M&A & JVs, reorganizations); shared services.
  7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including business heads, Principals, government agencies, suppliers, insurance companies, consultants & advisors, internal auditors, external auditors.
  8. Identify financial and business risk areas and lead actions to mitigate these risks, focusing on driving internal control standards, procedures, and practices across all business units consistent with both Group as well as Sector financial policies and practices supportive of business needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  1. Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance and a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA).
  2. Minimum age 40 with 15 years or more related work experience, including at least 8 years at managerial level (CFO, FD or Group Controller level) in an extensive multi-site environment.
  3. Extensive "hands-on" experience with Principal-driven FMCG Distribution businesses is a must.
  4. Thoroughly conversant with consolidations, accounting, costing, inventory control, NWC management, credit policy, and ERP systems (ideally Oracle).
  5. Experience in several organizations across more than one country, including at least one well-structured multinational and some fast-growing companies.
  6. Any nationality with Middle East experience; fluent Arabic applicants very welcome, but not essential.
KEY SKILLS
  1. Emphasis on the operational component of the Finance Function, appealing to a strong Controller looking for the next step in their career.
  2. Key requirement: "emotional intelligence" / ability to deal with a wide variety of interests tactfully while achieving business goals.
  3. Experience with widely dispersed supply chains/logistics situations with customer focus in fast-growing, fast-changing environments.
  4. Past organizations should be large and complex, preferably with matrix organizational structures.
  5. Outstanding leadership skills coupled with high energy, integrity, and passion.
  6. An inspiring leader with enthusiasm, focus, and drive.
