We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced landscape architect and urban planner to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will oversee and deliver large-scale urban development projects that shape the future of our cities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex large-scale landscape and urban planning projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
  • Oversee the preparation of design documents, technical reports, and presentations, ensuring compliance with sustainable urban design principles and local regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and performance, providing constructive feedback to consultants and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and government authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance, while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Sustainability Focus
  • Critically review landscape designs submitted by external consultants, ensuring they align with the project's goals, Green Riyadh standards, and sustainable design principles.
  • Provide expert advice on sustainable design practices, emphasizing adherence to local regulations, environmental considerations, and aesthetic aspects.
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender packages for landscape projects, detailing design requirements, technical specifications, and contractual terms.
  • Evaluate technician tender submissions, ensuring compliance with design specifications, budget constraints, and project timelines.
Design Management
  • Take ownership of assigned landscape projects, overseeing the design process from conceptualization through construction documentation.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape designs seamlessly into the overall project.
Quality Assurance
  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes for landscape designs to maintain consistency, excellence, and adherence to Green Riyadh standards.
  • Conduct regular design audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of landscape designs with other project components.
  • Manage communication between internal teams and external consultants to streamline the design review and approval process.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure that all landscape designs and tender packages comply with local regulations, zoning codes, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for proposed landscape projects.

This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field, as well as a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or urban design. Proven experience in reviewing and managing landscape designs is essential, along with demonstrated success in coordinating and collaborating with diverse project teams.

Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are required. Comprehensive understanding of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation is also essential.
