Senior Ophthalmic Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Ophthalmic Surgeon to join our esteemed team as a Corneal Transplant Specialist.

As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will provide high-quality patient care, conduct consultative services, supervise junior staff, and participate in training and research initiatives.

You will be responsible for performing special procedures, following hospital policies, and participating in administrative functions as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent ophthalmic care to patients with expertise in corneal transplants.
• Provide consultative services as requested by colleagues and patients.
• Supervise fellows, residents, and assistant physicians in their professional development.
• Contribute to the training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of specialization.
• Participate in research activities related to ophthalmology and corneal transplants.
• Engage in committees and other administrative functions as required by the hospital.
• Perform special procedures within your scope of practice.
• Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork within the department.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A graduate degree from a reputable medical school.
• Completion of post-board/fellowship training in transplant surgery.
• Saudi Board Certification or its equivalent.
• Membership in professional organizations related to ophthalmology and transplant surgery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
