Job Summary:

The Senior CCM Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the casting floor and spray chamber. This involves supervision of teeming, casting, Tundish preheating, spare maintenance, and routine maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the casting floor and spray chamber teams.
  • Monitor and report on Tundish levels during casting.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping of the CCM control room and periphery area of the casting floor.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with HS&E Policy.
  • Conduct training sessions and tool box talks for subordinates.
  • Perform ladle nozzle opening/lancing temperature sampling, slag box and emergency slag box cleaning/changing, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to train and develop subordinates.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

The Senior CCM Operator will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other hazards. The ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.
