Job Summary

The Hong Kong Housing Society is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Officer to join our team. As a Senior Officer, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our Day Care Center and Residential Care Home for the Elderly (RCHE), and collaborating with colleagues and external units to deliver exceptional services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the Day Care Center and RCHE, including planning, organizing, and implementing activities that promote the well-being of our customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external units to deliver services that meet the needs of our customers, including social work, counseling, and community outreach.
  • Report monthly service and financial statistics to the supervisor, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Source and contact local organizations, NGOs, and companies to develop large-scale event programs that benefit our customers.
  • Handle customer requests, enquiries, and complaints independently, providing psychosocial support to residents in RCHE and members in DCC.
  • Liaise with customers and volunteers to ensure smooth service delivery, including coordinating activities and events.
  • Coordinate psychosocial activities and training sessions, particularly for dementia cases, group activities, and mass programs in the Day Care Centre.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Supervise Care Workers on skills and techniques for leading dementia groups in DCC and RCHE.
  • Act as a mentor to new Program Workers, guiding them in coordinating activities in DCC and RCHE.

Requirements

  • Degree or Associate degree in Social Science, Social Work Studies, or Counseling.
  • Registered Social Worker is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of solid working experience in a recognized welfare organization, elderly service, or mental health service.
  • Good connections with various service providers and stakeholders in elderly and mental health services.
  • Proficient in English, Chinese, and Putonghua.
  • Candidates with 5 years or above experience will be considered for Assistant Manager position.
