What the Job Involves

  • Supporting the department head on technical and strategic initiatives, driving business growth and risk management.
  • Board-related work across various sectors, including gaming, mining, and aircraft leasing, requiring expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Attending due diligence meetings with investment teams for critical private assets, ensuring thorough risk evaluation and analysis.
  • Reviewing portfolio company business plans from a risk perspective, identifying potential threats and opportunities.
  • Coordinating with the fund ODD team on risk due diligence, ensuring seamless integration of risk management into investment decisions.
  • Rolling out the risk framework to various portfolio companies, promoting a culture of risk awareness and management.
  • Enhancing content in existing investment risk reporting, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Engaging with consultants on various investment risk projects, leveraging expertise and best practices.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Prior experience in a consulting firm or bank, with a strong background in risk management and investment analysis.
  • Prior experience building and implementing a GRC framework, ensuring effective risk governance and compliance.
  • Experience working closely with investment teams and stakeholders to develop a risk dashboard, providing real-time risk insights.
  • Skilled in conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis of investment opportunities, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • A degree from a top-tier university within finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
  • A Master's degree is preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise in risk management and investment analysis.
