About the Role

This critical position involves designing, implementing, and managing firewall rules and policies, monitoring and analyzing firewall logs, and upgrading firewall firmware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement firewall rules and policies, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational security requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze firewall logs and network traffic using advanced tools to detect anomalies and potential security breaches.
  • Upgrade firewall firmware and apply security patches to address vulnerabilities and enhance firewall capabilities.

Compliance and Security Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Generate and present regular security reports, including risk assessments, audit findings, and compliance status to stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal security audits and implement recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT security or a related field with a focus on firewall management and cybersecurity.
