We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a Quality Control Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of materials, components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Document inspection results accurately and in a timely manner, including any deviations or nonconformities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality engineers, production managers, and suppliers, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain quality inspection records, including visual indications on inspected parts, as per established procedures.
- Prepare and submit nonconformity reports, tracking the status of deviations and ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of daily inspection backlogs, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing delays.
- Ensure the traceability of component materials, including inspection status, to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle materials in accordance with established procedures, preventing mix-ups, damage, or other adverse effects.
- Log and track materials through the receiving inspection process, including SAP entries, to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Record transactions and move materials to accepted material areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate inspection results effectively to quality engineers and other relevant personnel, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Verify assembly documentation accuracy, reading engineering drawings, and referring to relevant documentation as needed.
- Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments to detect deviations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, site visits, reporting, and quality processes, utilizing A3 templates for analysis.
- Adhere to Hitachi Vantara Corporation's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for your colleagues and the business.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of reading drawings and hands-on inspection of materials.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on use of tools for measurement and proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
