Job Title: Principal Architectural Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Architectural Project Coordinator to join Duncan & Ross. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for architecture and project coordination to take on a key role in our team.

About the Role:

  • This position involves working closely with senior architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of architectural projects.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing materials submittals, producing shop drawings, conducting quality assurance reviews, and maintaining accurate records of technical documentation.
  • Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring smooth project delivery and maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and consultants to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage material submittals to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
Material Submittals and Shop Drawings Production
  • Lead the production of detailed shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of shop drawings and material submittals, providing constructive feedback to maintain high-quality standards.
Quality Assurance and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of all technical documentation and correspondence related to project development.
  • Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
Client Liaison and Communication
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, specifically with a focus on large-scale fit-out projects.
  • Proven experience in material submittals and shop drawings production and review.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials, particularly in a contractor setting.
  • Proficient in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
