The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. VMware Management: Deploy, manage, monitor, and optimize VMware environments to ensure high performance and scalability.
  2. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup solutions, develop backup policies, and monitor job executions to minimize data loss and downtime.
  3. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI): Deploy and maintain HCI solutions to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  4. Microsoft Exchange: Install, configure, and manage Exchange servers and email security to ensure secure communication and minimal disruptions.
  5. Active Directory: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies to ensure secure access and compliance.
  6. System Administration: Maintain Windows/Linux servers, apply security updates, and monitor system health to ensure optimal performance and stability.
  7. Networking: Configure and manage network devices, VLANs, firewall rules, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure smooth communication and data transfer.
  8. Security: Implement security measures, conduct audits, and respond to incidents to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
  9. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation and generate reports on system performance to inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Certifications in VMware (VCP), Microsoft (MCSE), or relevant technologies.
  • Strong experience in system administration, virtualization, backup solutions, HCI, Exchange, and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and networking concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
