About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Compliance professional to drive export controls implementations and export licensing frameworks in Singapore and the APAC region.

This role will help drive and scale the APAC export controls and licensing program through innovative process development, engaging cross-functional teams that span a broad range of stakeholders, including development teams and senior leadership.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Export Compliance Expertise: Apply strategic export compliance subject matter expertise to advise internal business customers and influence AWS APAC export compliance policies, processes, and compliance initiatives.
  2. Process Development: Develop, implement, enhance, and maintain strategic compliance processes and solutions for managing APAC region export regulatory licensing and compliance, including Singapore TradeFirst and Tier 3 license, driving continuous improvements.
  3. Export Controls Implementation: Export controls implementation and classification of Strategic Goods (Control) Regulations dual-use items.
  4. Regulatory Engagement: Partner with Public Policy to engage export control regulators.
  5. Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor regulatory changes.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Create metrics for management reporting.
  7. Process Improvement: Drive process improvement and compliance implementation projects.
  8. Leadership Communication: Own leadership communications to stakeholder teams and executive leadership.
  9. Innovation: Innovate control mechanisms to best meet business goals and compliance requirements.
