Intermediate Aircraft Egress Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled Intermediate Aircraft Egress Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operationally capable aircraft in support of pilot training programs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in egress systems maintenance and be able to troubleshoot and rectify faults in aircraft systems. They will also be required to provide technical specialty support in the evaluation and interpretation of aircraft systems, components, and test equipment.

Job Accountabilities:

  1. To provide operationally capable aircraft through carrying out aircraft servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems/components at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC21 aircraft.
  2. To provide technical specialty support in the evaluation, interpretation, determinations of requisite corrective actions, performance and operational status of specialty specific aircraft systems, components, test-support equipment at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC21 aircraft.
  3. To be able to achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications. To obtain and maintain certifications so as to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
  4. To provide informal and formal On the Job Training (OJT) for all personnel to enable either RSAF or civilian Saudisation of PC21 Intermediate Maintenance operations.
  5. Able to acquire user expertise and become conversant with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system.
  6. Able to understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: National civilian/military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship.
  • Completion of Egress/Armament Maintenance course and Explosive handling course.
  • Have extensive proven post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive experience on same aircraft type OR successful completion of relevant apprenticeship programme.
  • Must have an understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
  • Must hold a current driving licence.
  • Computer literate with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A sound understanding of relevant technical publications applicable to their work area.
  • An understanding of the Operation and working practices.
  • Working knowledge of Q-pulse, DMS and an understanding of M&CA processes.
