FAME is seeking an accomplished Technical and Estimation Manager to enhance its customer portfolio according to its expansion plans. The company offers MEP & building maintenance services for authorities, major companies, and for commercial/residential, public-sector schools, malls, and hospitals as well as high-end residential buildings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to oversee our Technical and Estimating department. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of cost estimation, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in our bids/project proposals. You will work closely with various teams to assess project requirements, develop detailed cost forecasts, and support the strategic bidding process. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the estimating team to prepare precise cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements.
  2. Oversee the compilation of necessary documentation to support transparent and accurate bids.
  3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather all pertinent information for bid preparation.
  4. Validate cost information from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure it meets project demands.
  5. Maintain a comprehensive database of current and past project costs to guide future estimates.
  6. Provide guidance and training to junior estimators and support staff.
  7. Participate in bid review meetings with clients and upper management.
  8. Establish and implement “best practices” and focus on continuous improvement.
  9. Study, analyze, and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view in order to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards for overall risk assessment and bid decision.
  10. Consolidate prices after meeting with the tendering committee and add extra costs.
  11. Accurate estimation of project costs.
  12. Accurate estimation of manpower.
  13. Solutions provided to bottlenecks found in the tender document.
  14. Quantity surveying skills.
  15. Must be able to prepare BOQs and RFQs from drawings.
  16. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns as per the scope including detailed material take-off, activity-wise resource requirements, subcontracts, indirect costs, etc.
  17. Conduct site investigations to identify and assess details of scope.
  18. Prepare technical proposals including statements, planning inputs, data sheets, techno-commercial qualifications in coordination with relevant departments.
Requirements:
  • Any Nationality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Educational Qualification: Must be a mechanical/electrical engineer with thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical works.
  • Professional Qualification: Having diploma/certificates in MEP projects, and having attended seminars/lectures is a plus.
  • Experience: Must have at least 10 years of minimum experience and worked as an estimation manager in a company for major projects.
