About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Staff Security Engineer to join our team at HungerStation. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures to protect our applications, infrastructure, and data.
Key Responsibilities
Secure Coding Practices:- Evaluate and implement secure coding standards across development teams to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular code reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimize security posture.
- Develop and integrate security modules into CI/CD pipelines to automate security testing and validation.
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve identified security vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans.
- Perform comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing for web, mobile apps, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design and conduct advanced red teaming exercises to simulate real-world attacks and evaluate defenses.
- Produce detailed security assessment reports and follow up on mitigation action plans to ensure effective implementation.
- Implement and maintain robust security tools and controls to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to mitigate external and internal threats.
- Enhance security monitoring of cloud infrastructure to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence by following all relevant policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of work processes, cost-effectiveness, and productivity.
- Promote policy awareness and adherence among employees to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering with a strong background in penetration testing, application security, and cloud security.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree highly preferred.
- Certification in OSCP or CDP mandatory; OSCE and CDE certifications a plus.
- Proven expertise in penetration testing for web and mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud information security, including generating and monitoring security alerts effectively.
- Familiarity with security infrastructure and operations tools and practices, such as Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Experience with cloud penetration testing an advantage.
