JASARA PMC is seeking an experienced Field Surveyor to become a vital part of our team working on NEOM THE LINE, one of the most ambitious and innovative projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys and providing precise data vital for project planning and .

Your key responsibilities will include performing topographic surveys, establishing control points, verifying site conditions, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure accurate alignment with design specifications. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to gather essential data for analysis.
Survey Planning and Preparation
Project Briefing: Review project documentation, including plans, designs, and specifications, to understand the scope and purpose of the survey.
Site Analysis: Conduct a preliminary site visit to assess the area, gather initial observations, and plan survey routes and methods.
Equipment Preparation: Select and prepare the necessary surveying instruments and equipment, such as total stations, GPS devices, levels, drones, and measuring tapes.
Conducting Surveys
Land and Property Surveys: Measure and record the dimensions, boundaries, and features of land parcels or construction sites to establish property lines and develop site plans.
Topographical Surveys: Collect data on the natural and man-made features of a landscape (e.g., contours, elevation, vegetation, infrastructure) to create detailed maps or models for design and planning purposes.
Construction Surveys: Provide layout and reference points for construction projects, ensuring that structures are built according to design specifications.
Boundary Surveys: Determine and mark the boundaries of properties, ensuring that legal property lines are accurately defined and documented.
Data Collection and Recording
Use of Surveying Equipment: Operate a range of surveying tools such as GPS systems, total stations, theodolites, and laser scanners to collect precise data in the field.
Data Recording: Record field measurements, notes, sketches, and observations in field logs, making sure that all data is accurate and well-organized for future use.
Environmental Factors: Account for environmental factors such as weather, terrain, and obstructions that may affect survey results or equipment performance.

Desired candidate profile

A bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in field surveying, preferably in large-scale construction projects
Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, and other field equipment
Strong understanding of surveying principles, practices, and relevant regulations
Experience with CAD software and GIS applications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions
Data Analysis and Processing
Data Calculation: Analyze raw data from the field to calculate distances, elevations, angles, and other key measurements.
Data Integration: Integrate field data with existing maps, aerial imagery, or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create accurate site plans or 3D models.
Quality Control: Perform checks to ensure that data is consistent, accurate, and meets project requirements.
Reporting and Documentation
Survey Reports: Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings that summarize the collected data, analysis, and conclusions.
Legal Documentation: Prepare legal documents such as boundary descriptions, property surveys, and land transfer documents.
Collaboration with Teams: Work with architects, engineers, urban planners, and legal professionals to provide survey data that supports design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
