JASARA PMC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and management of project schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align project goals with strategic objectives, contributing to the successful of social infrastructure projects
Project Scheduling and Planning
Develop Detailed Schedules: Create detailed project schedules using software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject, including all tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Develop a clear work breakdown structure to define the scope and organize the project tasks into manageable sections.
Critical Path Method (CPM): Analyze the project's critical path to ensure the sequence of tasks is optimized and critical activities are completed on time.
Resource Allocation: Plan and allocate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) effectively, ensuring that resources are available at the right time.
Timeline Management: Monitor project progress and adjust schedules based on actual performance, managing delays or changes that may impact the completion date.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
Track Progress: Continuously monitor the project's progress against the planned schedule and report deviations to senior management or project stakeholders.
Progress Reports: Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting any delays, risks, and issues that could affect the schedule.
Performance Metrics: Use tools like Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure project performance in terms of cost and schedule.

Desired candidate profile

Key requirements for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or civil engineering sectors. - Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in team settings. - A solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies. - Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Risk and Delay Management
Identify Risks and Delays: Identify potential project risks, delays, and bottlenecks in advance and develop mitigation strategies.
Delay Analysis: Investigate the reasons for delays and disruptions, analyze their impact on the overall project timeline, and recommend corrective actions.
Corrective Action: Develop and implement corrective plans to recover from delays, ensuring that critical milestones are met.
Coordination and Communication
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project activities are aligned and the schedule is updated regularly.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, updates, and any potential issues to key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and subcontractors.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with various departments and team members to ensure that project timelines are adhered to, and that there is a clear understanding of deadlines.
