**What you will do**

The Technical Support Specialist, fire detection and alarm systems key role reporting to the technical support regional supervisor. You will be based in Saudi Arabia and support regional partners, assisting sales growth initiatives in the middle east region by providing technical support and technical training services covering the complete Johnson control global fire detection products portfolio including PAVA systems, aspirating detection or OEM 3rd Party products Simplex, Autocall, Zettler,and Fireclass including relevant accessories.

You will be in direct contact with system partners, commissioning engineers and end users. As a member of the technical support and sales engineering team, you will collaborate closely with other departments including sales, customer services, inside sales, marketing, global training and R&D where required.

**How you will do it**

As technical support specialist, you will provide product support to partners and sales teams. You will do this using company produced software tools to provide solution on site or remotely as per partner requirements.
- Recording technical support cases utilising software systems such as Salesforce.
- Support partners in sales or design teams as well Johnson controls regional sales teams.
- Support partners from other regions when required.
- Technical training: General technical and commissioning training to new partners in FA / PAVA. Yearly or on-demand trainings for all partners new and existing engineers
- Specific on-demand trainings for other products in the global products range
- Site visit to installations when required.
- Following up on product returns to support QA/RMA process.
- Document translation when required to ensure the accurate context of documents

Product specific training will be provided to support constant personal professional development.

**What we look for**

**Required**
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronics or proven experience in the fire detection industry
- Minimum 3 years working experience in fire detection industry
- Excellent working knowledge of fire detection and voice alarm design, installation and commissioning standards including EN54-14/ BS5839 / NFPA 72
- Good verbal and written command of the English language.
- Problem-solver, with an ability to work under own direction with personal responsibility
- General awareness of currents industry trends
- General awareness of the relevant building standards and code of practice relevant to the region
- Proven business communication skills, with an ability to report movements and meeting notes
- Ability to identify need for and develop, processes and supporting materials
- Recent or past experience of working for matrix organization
- Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, in company own or 3rd party diagnostics tools
- Willingness to travel
- Own reliable transport
- Valid driver’s license
