We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor specialising in railway projects to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and contracts for complex railway infrastructure projects in the region.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for railway construction projects
- Analyse costs, value engineer solutions, and provide cost advice to project teams
- Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cost-related issues
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project cost objectives are met
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project management and clients
- Assist in the procurement process, including tender preparation and evaluation
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, highlighting any deviations from budget
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project team
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Professional membership in a relevant body (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on railway projects
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of railway construction and infrastructure projects
- Experience in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Familiarity with international construction standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for project site visits
