**Job Description and Qualifications**
JIGPC is seeking an EHS Delivery leader accountable for developing a new worker safety organization at the Jazan Integrated Gasification & Power Company (JIGPC). The incumbent is a key member of the EHSSQ leadership team and reports to the JIGPC EHSSQ Director.
The EHS Delivery leader is expected to quickly develop a self-sufficient safety organization for the world’s largest Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle facility. The main objective of the position is to support the organization with the implementation of the key EHS programs in a sustainable manner and to institutionalize safety culture at all levels and across the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting a culture of safe working habits, improving safety performance, establishing safety procedures, safety directives and implementing safety improvement strategies for the facility in alignment with JIGPC’s values along with corporate goals and objectives.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
This opportunity is for a key member of the JIGPC EHSSQ leadership functioning as a part of an overall operations, construction, commissioning and start-up team. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Meet the goal of ZERO harm and accidents to employees, contractors and environment by establishing the EHS culture and EHS management systems and driving compliance.
- Develop risk assessments necessitated by high risk activity or activities not currently addressed by procedures, working with site team, global and regional teams.
- Review current EHS work processes and implement safety initiatives to address observed trends in incident or other safety data and manage their implementation.
- Drive a culture of ‘safety first’ with transparent reporting of leading and lagging indicators.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable worker safety regulations by establishing the necessary procedures, training, verification, measurement systems, and reports as required to demonstrate compliance. Ensure tools and systems are in place to meet reporting and audit requirements of JIGPC’s lenders related to worker safety.
- Lead Incident Investigation, RCA’s and facilitation for the site related to worker injuries and significant near misses and collect, verify, and report associated metrics.
- Implement a behaviour-based safety program at the Jazan IGCC facility
- Work with Jazan leadership to develop safety goals/metrics.
- Establish process and methods for maintenance/ contractor safety plans and participate in all facility maintenance outages and/or repair projects to ensure safety planning and safety execution are in line with our goal of zero injuries.
- Coach and support leadership team, site leaders and operations on safety issues, concerns, and questions.
- Be the process owner for regional Crisis Management at the senior management level.
- Establish habit strength in the organization for all key EHSSQ work processes- Reconcile process safety standards and procedures from JV parents.
- Act as an EHS ambassador; embrace the Responsible Care concept.
SKILLS
- Lead by example with regards to following procedures and our highest priority of maintaining personnel safety.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in safety, engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) or other technical undergraduate degree. An advanced degree is preferred.
- A qualification in safety or equivalent experience (CSP, ASP, SMS, etc.).
- Significant safety management experience in an industrial setting.
- Progressive field safety and safety management experience in a chemical, petrochemical, petroleum refinery, or similar complex facility where a significant number of hazards were present;
