**Project Description**:
Bechtel is currently bidding for The New Murabba Project Infrastructure” which will be built around the concept of sustainability, featuring green areas and walking and cycling paths that will enhance the quality of life by promoting healthy, active lifestyles and community activities. It will also feature an iconic museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose immersive theater, and more than 80 entertainment and culture venues.

The project will be situated at the intersection of King Salman and King Khalid roads to the North West of Riyadh, over an area of 19 square kilometers, to accommodate hundreds of thousands of residents. The project will offer more than 25 million sqm of floor area, featuring more than 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, and more than 980,000 sqm of retail space, as well as 1.4 million sqm of office space, 620,000 sqm of leisure assets, and 1.8 million sqm of space dedicated to community facilities.

The New Murabba project will offer a unique living, working and entertainment experience within a 15-minute walking radius and will have its own internal transport system. It will be approximately 20-minutes' drive from the airport.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:
The Construction Engineer is responsible for the oversight of contractors’ works and work completion of major earthworks and civil related scopes. The Construction Engineer is responsible for overseeing all appointed Contractor’s job site activities and ensure that the construction operations and contractor’s performance follow project ES&H, quality, schedule requirements, whilst maintaining effective relationships when interfacing with stakeholders and general public.

**Essential Job Duties**:

- Coordinate and oversight of compliance of contractors, ensuring works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications, and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards and local/national regulatory safety codes.
- Coordinate performance of the earthworks contractors, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, client, and other stakeholders involved in Earthworks, site clearance, utility diversion
- Input to ensure continuous construction work fronts availability through review of look ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules and any other service requirements including contractor submittals.
- Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the specific work at site.
- Verifies compliance with Permit and License requirements and stipulations.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving the contractor's submittals, technical queries, Field change documents and other technical documents including Drawings and As-Builts.
- Ensure all materials and equipment on the site fully comply with international standard and technical specification requirements.
- Ensure the closure of project is systematic and complete in all respects.

**Qualifications, Experience, Job Knowledge, and Skill set Requirements**:

- A recognized degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction projects
- Has proven experience and thorough knowledge in construction of large-scale projects.
- Thorough knowledge of international standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated.
