Senior Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This position is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
**Core Responsibilities in Payroll Management**:
- **Payroll Processing**: Oversee and execute the complete payroll cycle for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and payments.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- **Reporting and Documentation**: Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and audits for internal and external purposes.
- **System Management**: Maintain and update payroll systems to ensure data integrity and adapt to legislative changes.
- **Issue Resolution**: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
**Essential Skills and Competencies for a Senior Payroll Specialist**:
- **Technical Expertise**: Proficiency in payroll systems and software, with a deep understanding of payroll regulations.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy in managing payroll computations and sensitive data.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities to interact with employees and cross-functional teams.
- **Time Management**: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management or a similar role within a medium-to-large organization.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and tax withholdings.
