**Financial Institutions Consulting**

This team brings commercial, investment and pharma industry expertise to help clients strategize their transactions in healthcare and life sciences, make informed decisions and maximize investment value. The FIC practice supports acquisitions, investments & licensing - across the spectrum of clients incl. Sovereign Wealth Funds, Private Equity, VC firms, Conglomerates, Local investors and pharma manufacturers.

**Responsibility**

As an Engagement Manager in FIC practice, you will be responsible for pitching offerings to clients, generating a pipeline of projects, managing client relationships and leading multiple consulting projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries. Key responsibility areas include:

- **Deal Origination**: Develop investment strategy for the client and find transactable assets, profiling and screening companies, devising a plan to approach targets and independently assessing commercial potential. Gather market intelligence on the investment trends, themes and prevailing transactions in the industry
- **Deal decision-making and execution**: Advise clients to make better deal decisions by executing market assessments, feasibility studies and once the asset is shortlisted, perform commercial due diligence, assess performance improvement opportunities and provide a portfolio valuation
- **Value Capture**: Increase value of the transacted product/ asset by supporting revenue enhancement and cost reduction, as well as integrating assets to drive operational and performance enhancement
- **Project and people management**: Ensure clear communication throughout projects and within the team. Manage project teams including both internal and external resources in the design, development and delivery of client deliverables. Provide inputs and ensure development of client reports and presentations and delivery of findings to client. Lead ad-hoc workstreams on critical people-related issues such as recruitment, learning and development, and serve as coach to other junior staff.
- **Client relationships**: Serve as key point of contact with senior client stakeholders, provide follow-ups after deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
- **Thought Leadership**: Leverage business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client situations. Support the development of intellectual property for use on future engagements. Develop broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training
- **Business Development**: Manage the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrity; Develop new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience with deal-making in Healthcare or Life Sciences, either as consultant, i-banker or industry practitioner
- Skilled at developing business cases and financial feasibility study basis market assessments and technical nuances of product/ asset
- Demonstrable analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
- Strong capability in managing large and/or multiple projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes
- Experience working in sizable/ multi-disciplined teams and leading staff
- Experience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
- Ability to contribute to business development through the identification of leads, development of proposals etc
