The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Terminal Planner will play a key role in the planning and development of terminal facilities, ensuring optimal passenger flow, operational efficiency, and alignment with international aviation standards. This role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and airport stakeholders to deliver world-class terminal design solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Lead terminal planning activities including space planning, functional layout development, and passenger flow analysis.- Support the design team in developing innovative and efficient terminal concepts from early planning through to design delivery.- Conduct demand forecasting, capacity assessments, and operational simulations for key terminal functions.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, MEP, ICT, baggage handling, and security planning to ensure fully integrated terminal solutions.

Key Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field.- 8-12+ years of experience in terminal planning, preferably on large-scale aviation or infrastructure projects.- Strong understanding of airport terminal operations, IATA Level of Service (LoS), and capacity planning methodologies.- Experience with terminal simulation tools is an advantage (e.g., CAST, AnyLogic, Simio).

Key Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of ICAO, IATA, and GACA standards and guidelines.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to spatial and operational terminal planning.- Proficiency in planning software and design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
