Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be familiar with the fire equipments in his area.
- Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor and CCR Operator.
- Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and with other Operators in regard to all activities that affect them. Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the logbook.
- Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits. Report abnormalities to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
- Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
- Coordinate with Shift supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipments and system before and after maintenance. Maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.
- Assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.
- Follow standard procedures
- Use proper PPEs and implement prescribed risk controls
- Report deviations in Quality, Health and safety management system
- Report emergencies and near misses
- Ensure proper waste disposal measures
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Skills**:

- Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
- Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste
- Knowledge of Emission Monitoring
- Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plant
- Knowledge of firefighting equipment
- Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment
- Knowledge of First aid measure
- Should be well conversed with Desalination Operational activities.
- Interpersonal.

**Education**:
Technical Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Technology
