Job Summary:
The Quality Manager in a furniture manufacturing company ensures that all products meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and design. This role involves managing quality assurance processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures specific to furniture manufacturing.
- Oversee inspections at all stages of production, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Establish quality standards for materials, components, and assembly processes in collaboration with design and production teams.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process optimization to reduce defects, waste, and costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement lean manufacturing practices and other improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and certifications, such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and ISO.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain competitiveness and adherence to legal requirements.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address root causes of quality issues.
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components meets company standards.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to maintain consistent material quality.
Training and Development:
- Train production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and ownership throughout the organization.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Present regular quality performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the furniture industry or a related manufacturing sector.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in tools like FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to work across teams and departments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
Certifications (preferred):
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- FSC Chain of Custody certification knowledge is advantageous.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: ﷼6,000.00 - ﷼7,000.00 per month
