IT Infrastructure Manager

**SUMMARY**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage our organization's server and network infrastructure. The Network Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our servers and network systems. The person will be coordinating with the team of network professionals from companies infrastructure provider. In addition to networking expertise, this role requires knowledge of Linux server maintenance, Windows server management, proficiency in firewall-related activities, and experience in managing Microsoft Office 365 setup. The Network Infrastructure Manager will also be responsible for monitoring vulnerabilities and patch management.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design, implement, and manage the organization's network infrastructure to meet current and future needs.
- Coordinate with the team of network engineers and administrators from the infrastructure service provider while providing guidance, training, and support to the engineers.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the network, including LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and minimizedowntime.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network systems with other technology solutions, including servers, storage, and cloud services.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate technology solutions to make informed recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the network infrastructure current and competitive.
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and ensure network resilience.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of network infrastructure and project updates.
- Possess knowledge of Linux server maintenance and the ability to perform tasks related to Linux server administration.
- Demonstrate expertise in firewall configuration, management, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in Windows server management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor network vulnerabilities and ensure timely patch management to address security threats.

**ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**

This position reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Work closely with development team members to ensure close coordination with developers and operations team users.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in server infrastructure management and network administration.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar are a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to network issues.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and IT service management platforms.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 80% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required.

Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to relocate or maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting or a hybrid work environment. Extended periods of sitting while using a computer or other devices are common.
