HR Specialist

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and handle the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources and Administration department. HR Specialist responsibilities include supporting manpower planning, managing personnel affairs, updating company policies, and assisting in hiring process. To be successful in this role, you should have solid organizational skills and be familiar with HR functions. Ultimately, you will make sure all HR operations run smoothly.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the management in designing and planning man power plans, budgets, procedures and policy
- Maintain physical and digital records of all personnel documents, transactions, evaluations and history
- Continue to review, update and improve company policies and ensure policy compliance and awareness
- Assist finance team to prepare personnel related costs, expenses & payrolls
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, attendances etc.)
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates, attendance, timesheets etc.)
- Develop employee’s appraisal systems and conduct induction and training on appraisal practices
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
- Manage all government relations and communicate with public services when necessary
- Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, banks, corporate service providers
- Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor regulations
- Gather benchmark data about jobs, compensation and benefits
- Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management
- Identify training needs for teams & individuals and support
- Evaluate training programs
- Suggest new HR strategies
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like total number of hires by department
- Develop training and on boarding material
- Design and update job descriptions
- Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard
**Requirements**:
- Work experience as an HR Specialist, HR Administrative Assistant, or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of labor legislation
- Up to date on industry best practices, new trends and benchmark
- Digital savvy
- Passionate for creative innovation and ability to work effectively with creative team
- Strong Arabic & English verbal and written communication skills
- Professional software skills in:
- Mac OS
- Windows OS
- Microsoft Office
- HR Systems
- Recruitment tools and softwares
- Organized, multitasker and detail-oriented
- Positive attitude towards the role, the team, the agency and its clients.
- Impeccable presentation skills.
- Eager to learn and share knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical & intuitive skills.
- Accountable, take responsibility, get the team back up when it’s down and get stuff done
- Adhere to Ethical code of conduct and follow professional manners
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
- Excellent people management skills
- BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field
