Data Quality Specialist

As a Data Quality Specialist, you will execute all the Data Quality activities throughout the organization for agreed Data sources. Also, will provide necessary insights in regard to the level of data quality, how to detect Data Quality issues and the necessary remediation tasks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Policies, Processes & Procedures**
- Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers

**Day-to-day operations**
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work

**Data Quality Management**
- Initiate and execute data quality Profiling and error detection activities
- Report profiling and data studies results
- Develop reusable data quality rules in the designated repository
- Implement Data Quality Checks and alerts (e.g. Dashboards/exception reports, etc.)
- Identify and implement the necessary data quality controls throughout all sources of data
- Maintain the Data Quality engine
- Analysis and development of data quality remediation plans
- Execute data quality remediation activities
- Execute route cause data quality analysis
- Communicate and define all data quality rules in order to be stored and linked to the appropriate data elements in liaison with Metadata specialists
- Perform the necessary actions to conform with data quality and governance policies as needed throughout the organization

**Communication & Transfer of Knowledge**
- Communicate with the data stewardship section to ensure that all required business rules for the assigned area are implemented and monitored
- Communicate with the Metadata management section to ensure the transparency
- of the level of quality by confirming that Data Quality (and Governance) rules are stored against the Data elements in the Metadata repository
- Communicate with the business data architecture section to ensure models and checks are aligned
- Communicate with Master Data & Classification Section to implement any relevant Data quality assurance in the Master & reference data
- Communicate with Data Governance Section to implement the agreed Data Quality policies

**Continuous Improvement**
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Data Quality Management processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

**Reporting**
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

**Safety, Quality & Environment**
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

**Related Assignments**
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in MIS/Computer Science of Information Technology
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Data Management in general
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Data Quality Management approaches
- Fluent English

**Technical knowledge areas**:

- In-depth knowledge of Data architectural frameworks
- Good knowledge of the Bank’s regulations
- Good knowledge of Conceptual & Logical data models for the financial industry
- Understanding of the Bank’s strategy, objectives
- Ability to effectively present information to top management
- Master data management, security Integration, data migration, ETL, Business intelligence, data analytics, storage, etc
- Understanding of Data integration, data management technologies, data warehousing and database technologies
