The opportunity:
The Clinical technical Specialist is responsible for providing rehabilitation support related to all Cochlear products. This will include clinical and technical support and other stakeholders in a growing region. You will support the Sales Team to achieve market penetration of the designated region by developing the market and ensuring acceptance of cochlear products as a viable treatment for both adults and children and achieving reimbursement for all products from a clinical/technical rehabilitation perspective. The role adds to ensure a close customer relationship, to increase customer loyalty and to ward off competition in the region, establishing Cochlear as a reliable partner for hearing solutions in the region.

Responsibilities will include yet not be limited to:

- Provide direct rehabilitation services to cochlear implant clinics (based on business needs and plans).
- Support the training and coaching of HCPs as part of Cochlear Academy courses and other training events.
- Follow up after the trainings of speech therapists as part of HCPs development ensuring evidence based practice used with Cochlear recipients.
- Perform ongoing training and support on Cochlear rehabilitation material and the clinical implementation of therapy in clinics across KSA.
- Visit speech therapy departments and hospitals rehabilitation centers and other key stakeholders on regular basis to provide rehabilitation services, coaching for new therapist and support difficult cases.
- Support clinics in KSA to start new implantable hearing solutions programs by using well established models of rehabilitation from experienced clinics.
- Continuously provide guidance to clinic personnel and other relevant stakeholders on how to communicate information to end-users and other third parties about Cochlear implants, rehabilitation material and future products.
- Maintain contacts with schools for the deaf to ensure a smooth and continuous flow of deafened and born deaf children to the clinics for investigation and evaluation.
- Support the local team in the Middle East as well as EMEA Management and Functions with regards to sales and promotional activities (e.g. development of recipient-advocate network; developing a good knowledge of the health care system(s) in the territory; supporting the establishment of charitable trusts or foundations.

What will see you succeed in the role:
A bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, or in Audiology with Rehabilitation training

You will present significant work experience with at least 5 years of experience in the hearing sector.
- 1-2 years working in ENT Field.
- Experience working as Speech Therapist/ Rehabilitation specialist with a focus on Hearing Loss
- Experience working in a customer/patient focused environment
- Experience in/with life science/medical devices industry.
- Experience working in international company in industry sector.
- MS Office (advanced).
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ideal
- 2 years aural rehabilitation experience
- Knowledge of hearing instruments (implantable hearing solutions and/or hearing aids).
- CRM software (salesforce or similar).
- Experience working in or closely with sales/business development functions.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic
