Cloud Solution Architect

As a Senior Technical Architect specializing in Cloud Infrastructure, Network Security, and DevOps, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based architectures using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and key security solutions. This includes the integration of components such as F5 WAF & Load Balancer, Palo Alto firewalls, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), network security, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding the architectural vision while ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure:
- Design, architect, and implement end-to-end solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and OKE, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal performance.
- Create and manage cloud network components including VCN (Virtual Cloud Network), subnets, routing, and peering.
- Architect and deploy OCI compute resources (OKE Clusters, VMs, Containers, Autonomous Database, etc.) ensuring scalability and security.
- Administrate and manage different Operating systems (Linux and Windows)- Lead the integration of OCI with on-premises and hybrid cloud environments, leveraging cloud-native and third-party tools.
- Security Architecture:
- Architect and implement network security solutions including Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, and traffic inspection mechanisms to protect cloud and hybrid environments.
- Design and implement secure cloud networking (VCN) with segmentation, monitoring, and threat prevention mechanisms.
- DevOps & Automation:
- Guide and promote the adoption of DevOps practices across the organization.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar) to automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure.
- Administrate and manage Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, OKE and GKE)
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of architects, engineers, and security professionals in implementing cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product teams, project managers, and business leaders, to translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor for technical and security best practices in cloud and networking architecture.
- Performance & Monitoring:
- Design and implement monitoring solutions for performance tracking, alerting, and automated scaling.
- Evaluate and optimize cloud architecture to ensure cost-effective utilization of OCI resources while maintaining high availability and performance standards.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document architecture designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Provide status updates to senior management, outlining progress, challenges, and potential risks.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and contribute to continuous improvement processes

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- Certifications (preferred):
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect certification.
- Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCCSA, PCNSA).
- F5 Certified Technology Specialist.
- DevOps-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes certifications).
- Expertise:
- Cloud Infrastructure: 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions, with a deep focus on OCI.
- Networking & Security: 5+ years of experience with network security solutions including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 WAF, Load Balancers, and network design (VCN, routing, VPNs).
- DevOps & Automation: Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, working with tools like Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
- Architectural Design: Extensive experience with multi-tier architecture design, cloud-native apps, and hybrid cloud models.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, virtual networks, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in networking protocols, security services, and firewall management (Palo Alto).
- Advanced experience with automation and DevOps processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
