Mechanical Draftsman

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for machine components, assemblies, and systems using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Interpret and revise existing drawings and technical documentation to reflect changes, upgrades, or repairs.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to understand repair or modification needs and translate them into precise technical drawings.
- Create fabrication and workshop drawings for custom parts and assemblies.
- Maintain a library of machine and part drawings, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
- Assist in documenting “as-built” changes after installation or modifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and internal quality specifications.
- Provide support during equipment overhauls, upgrades, or new installations by supplying necessary mechanical layouts and diagrams.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in heavy industry or steel manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings, machine manuals, and technical schematics.
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
