- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- **Patient Care**: Assessing patient needs, monitoring vital signs, providing assistance with daily activities, and ensuring comfort.
- **Medication Administration**: Administering prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring proper dosages, and monitoring for side effects.
- **Wound Care**: Managing wounds, including cleaning and dressing them.
- **Collaboration with Healthcare Team**: Communicating with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient conditions and progress.
- **Emergency Care**: Responding to emergency situations, providing first aid, and assisting with resuscitation or other critical care.
- **Health Monitoring and Screenings**: Industrial nurses conduct regular health assessments, including vision tests, hearing tests, and general health screenings to ensure employees are fit for their duties.
- **Workplace Safety and Health Education**: They educate employees on occupational health and safety, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide training on how to prevent workplace injuries or illnesses.
- **Management of Occupational Hazards**: They assess and manage health risks associated with specific industrial processes or equipment, ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations.
- **Occupational Health Records**: Maintaining detailed health records of employees, tracking their medical histories, and monitoring any work-related health issues.
- **Collaboration with Safety and HR Teams**: Industrial nurses work closely with human resources and safety officers to implement health policies, manage worker compensation claims, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- **Vaccinations and Immunizations**: In some cases, industrial nurses administer vaccines or oversee workplace health programs, including immunizations or wellness initiatives.
- **Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work Programs**: They may assist in coordinating the rehabilitation and return-to-work plans for employees recovering from workplace injuries or illnesses.
