Review and interpret contract documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance and proper execution during construction.
- Assess and evaluate contractor claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) requests, and provide recommendations.
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure that all parties are adhering to their contractual responsibilities.
- Support the Resident Engineer and Project Manager with all contractual matters arising during the course of supervision.
- Participate in commercial and contractual meetings with contractors and consultants.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all contract communications and changes.
- Assist in resolving contractual disputes and support in negotiations when required.
- Prepare and review contract correspondence, letters, and notices in accordance with the conditions of contract.
- Liaise with legal and commercial teams when needed for high-level issues.
- Provide input for project reports related to contract and commercial status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a Contracts Engineer role on infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience in supervision projects is essential.
- Sound knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
- Strong understanding of construction law, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.
