**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

- An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company as a Governance Manager. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems’ commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. _

Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA.

The Business & Solutions Modelling Lead is responsible for:
Providing business intelligence to enable SMSCMC to safely and sustainably deliver the required level of operational output whilst identifying and driving cost reduction opportunities.

Identifying common themes affecting performance, making the case to initiate an organic Continuous Improvement (CI) programme.

Assure integrity of modelling assumptions enabling integration of BAESSA fleet modelling assumptions into SMSCMC inventory planning and delivery

Provide assurance of the forward looking Inventory Optimisation output to mitigate risk of overspend of BDS budget. Assure the correct BDS items are being provisioned.

Identifying and influencing targeted changes to maintenance practices to reduce arisings - throttle supply chain input

Rapid generation of intelligent & integrated recovery plans in response to acute increases in arisings.

Undertake performance analyses across the whole supply chain construct throughout the contract period to identify improvements to:
Identify areas for improved resilience in the system

Reduce cost to BAESSA by ensuring that only essential IP is purchased

Further protect SMSCMC and BAESSA corporate reputations by actively scanning for potential obsolescence risks to operational output

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

In Phase 4 of the Salam Support Contract SMSCMC have increased responsibility for supply chain risk in offering fixed priced contracts to customers. This requires the establishment of a business intelligence capability which will drive increased contract financial performance and provide CSR assurance to the Programme Delivery Director and CEO.

The jobholder will be leading the design, development, delivery and maintenance of Project business models and plans which will be delivered to the Customer requirements and Business needs, whilst also ensuring these models and plans are consistent with overall Programme needs.

Non-modelling based analysis activities will also be a responsibility, requiring the ability to understand and communicate the implications of data, trends, events and projections within the programme. These activities will require the identification of, and liaison with all relevant Stakeholders and will ensure that specific deadlines and milestones are communicated to all parties involved. They will regularly review and report on progress against targets and, where necessary, intervene to resolve issues which threaten delivery of the plan.

The jobholder will ensure there is a clear understanding of the business questions being asked, the specifications are created to answer these questions and the models are written and maintained to the specifications supplied.

The role will independently assure the quality of the Inventory Optimisation output and provide leadership to ensure appropriate planning rationale is being applied to the delivery of the LRI repair service and provision of Break Down Spares (BDS) whilst coaching local talent to deepen the understanding of modelling within the Salam team.

The jobholder will delegate specific authority where appropriate to other functions of the project team.
