Accounting Manager

**Position Title**: Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

**Reports To**: CEO

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounting Operations**:

- Oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting records.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met in compliance with accounting standards.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- **Cost Accounting**:

- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and reports to ensure accurate product costing, labor costs, overhead allocation, and margin analysis.
- Support inventory valuation and track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
- Monitor and review manufacturing variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- **Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, providing insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as profit margins, cost of goods sold, and inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to provide financial analysis supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data to recommend cost-saving initiatives, efficiency improvements, and strategic financial decisions.
- **Internal Controls & Compliance**:

- Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits.
- Implement best practices in accounting processes and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- **Leadership & Team Management**:

- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure seamless flow of financial information.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement.
- **Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with operations and senior management to develop comprehensive budgets.
- Track and analyze budget versus actual results, preparing variance reports and recommending corrective actions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management practices within a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop accounting professionals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and government reporting requirements.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and how they impact financial reporting and cost accounting.

Pay: ﷼15,000.00 - ﷼17,000.00 per month
