Associate Director - Financial Controller
This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial transactions and monitor and validate the unreconciled balances with the internal stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing financial systems, He/she will work closely with senior management to support the bank's financial health and strategic objectives
**Responsibilities**
- Work with business units and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement accounting parametrization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
- Work with the Head of Finance and Head of Architecture to map and analyse financial transactions, ensuring alignment between financial processes and architectural design.
- Monitor and investigate / validate the unreconciled balances related to Treasury, retail, cards, payment GLs;
- Worked closely with the Operations team to investigate and resolve discrepancies in unreconciled balances, ensuring accurate and timely financial reconciliation
- Prepare the product profitability across the business segments on monthly basis. In addition to this, conduct in depth financial analysis across each services lines including variance analysis, profitability analysis and cost management.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and account payments, and coordinate with the payments team to ensure that invoices are accurately posted and reconciled in accordance with invoice details and subsequent reports.
- Oversee and manage financial activities associated with D360 production tasks, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial policies and project requirements.
- Responsible for reconciling core banking General Ledgers (GL) with Oracle GL, monitor and investigate discrepancies between the systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolution of any variances.
- Develop and refine internal control processes to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Control Over Transactions and Reporting, to oversee and ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reports.
- Preform any ither duties as assigned
- Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security (EIS) policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence, and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.
**Qualifications**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
- Master's degree or certifications in a relevant field a plus
**Years & Nature of Experience**
- Would have 8 to 10 years of equivalent experience in finance
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights into the company's financial status with an eye for detail
- Worked effectively with other areas and stakeholders outside their function
- Has clearly demonstrated ability to link technical contribution back to business impact for their team or area
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, policies, and procedures.
