QA/ Qc Supervisor Marine Industry

The facility is set to be one of the largest maritime facilities in the world, with the capacity to build various types of vessels, including very large crude carriers, offshore drilling rigs, and commercial ships. It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.

We are seeking a QA/ QC Supervisor to be responsible for the interaction & coordination with contractors for all technical correspondence related to construction, installation, maintenance, inspection, and commissioning of the Ras Al Khair shipyard facility.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manage the flow of information, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve the Design Quality Management System.
- Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.
- Develop, manage, and improve stage-wise inspections, PMCC, MCC, Commissioning, endurance tests, and final handover processes for assets.
- Ensure efficient handling of information requests and attend meetings with Government Bodies, documenting minutes and providing feedback to management.
- Support departments by providing regular Quality status reports and prepare and deliver presentations to Executive Management when required.
- Arrange site visits for departments during the construction phase and work closely with HSE to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage the training Document Management System and Quality Management system.
- Ensure controlled documents are managed per procedures and provide coaching on Quality systems.
- Perform solution designs and support field efforts, including processes, submittals, and review statistics.
- Provide guidance and assist operations and project teams in implementing corporate Quality Management Systems (QMS) and company management initiatives, functions, and systems.
- Ensure that the EPC Contractor, Sub-contractors, and other project team members adhere to Quality Assurance guidelines and report violations of procedure.
- Manage the Inspection and Test Plan process in conjunction with relevant departments.
- Make regular visits to construction sites to inspect progress and status.
- Utilize knowledge of asset management standards ISO 55000/1/2 and implement them during the project execution phase as necessary.
- Conduct periodic Quality Assurance Audits to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- Diploma degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- At least 11-15 years of industry experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in project management role (Supervisor) in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or equivalent industry.
- Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1, BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level-II and Certification from ASQ like CQM, CQE or CQA.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor & proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.
- HSE - Accountability and initiative taken for managing, maintaining, and improving the JV Co.’s health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Commitment to Quality - Ensure continual process improvement alongside an ethos that is committed to ensuring that performance expectations of all assets are continually met.
- Planning & Organizing - Apt at developing long and short-term plans.
- Situation Management - Dynamic decision making where required.
- Leadership - Ability to effectively communicate strategic direction through sound logical, commercial, and technical reasoning, with all functional areas in the organization.
