Aviation Quality Assurance Manager (Army Aviation PMO) The Quality Manager is responsible to the Program/Deputy Program Manager for the overall quality of aircraft maintenance.
Experience in leading US Army Aviation maintenance Quality programs is required.
US Citizenship is Required -Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this facility.
Will evaluate the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs necessary functions to manage the organization’s Quality Assurance Programs, IAW the FOP/GOP, and other governing instructions, publications, company requirements.
The evaluation and analysis of deficiencies and problem areas are key functions of Quality Team Manager that highlight and identify underlying causes of nonconformance in the maintenance production effort and address areas for improvement.
Makes recommendations to the program management to enhance the quality of maintenance.
Ensures that the Amentum Quality program is implemented and develop the Maintenance Quality Monitoring Programs.
Liaison with government personnel, to include GFR/GGR as necessary for the overall quality performance of the program.
Manage site-deployed quality control personnel as required to ensure Quality objectives and issues are being addressed and communicated to the appropriate government representative.
Monitor information from MDRs, including NALCOMIS/OOMA reports/inquiries in developing discrepancy trends, to identify failure areas or other maintenance problems.
Must be able to work dayshift, nightshift or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team or detachment as required.
Will have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required.
Will have knowledge of and understand basic supply procedures.
Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
**Minimum Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent is required as minimum education.
A minimum of Twelve (12) years in Aviation maintenance with a minimum of Five (5) years as a Quality Assurance Inspector is required.
US Army Maintenance experience is preferred.
The Quality Manager must have experience in aviation ground safety and management.
Required experience in interpreting technical publications, blueprints, wiring diagrams, inspection findings.
Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience to effectively assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Contractor maintenance effort in accordance with DCMA INST 8210/AR 95-20.
Must have working knowledge and understanding of aircraft logs and records.
Possess analytical abilities necessary to handle extremely complex administrative, organizational, and aircraft maintenance matters.
Must possess experience related to continuous process improvement and root cause analysis experience.
Experience in leading US Army Aviation maintenance, and understanding of QA programs, processes and inspection requirements is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization (CAC). US Citizenship is required to obtain facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
A Valid US Passport is required for travel to Saudi.
Must be able to clear and obtain the Saudi (Igama) Visa, must pass Medical.
Must be customer oriented.
**Additional and Physical Requirements**:
Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
This classification’s activities range from, an office-like environment with extensive sitting demands to a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
