Aviation Training Manager

The Training Manager manages the Training Management Office staff and oversight of day-to-day training coordinated through the Training Management Office. The Training Manager will be responsible for initiating, updating, maintaining records, and tracking training for aviation personnel. Uses the Training Management System to schedule classes, track individual progress, and provide status reports to the customer. Manages day-to-day execution of customer objectives though the coordinated efforts of assigned personnel.
- Responsible to maintain sufficient instructors and their qualifications.
- Manage training and development objectives for site customer.
- Oversee and manage training objectives and initiatives.
- Recommend and develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs to ensure training needs are met.
- Plan, develop, and facilitate training as required to qualify soldiers in a Military Occupation Specialty (MOS).
- Develop and maintain a Training Management Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and MOS Specific job books.
- Oversee the development and organization of training products, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
- Develop, obtain, and report metrics on training programs and other initiatives.
- Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by the customer or other departments in the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree but could be waived with appropriate experience and other related military education which meets qualifications.
- Must have knowledge of US Army aviation doctrine, tactics, and aircraft capabilities, and understand the U.S. Military Systems Approach to Training (SAT), and Methods of Instruction (MOI) or equivalent.
- FAA A&P Certificate Or military equivalent required.
- Graduate of the Army Instructor Training Course-TAITC Preferred or FAA equivalent.

Preferred:

- Understand U.S. Army Aviation Training Management and at least three (3) years of experience in the training of army pilots and maintenance personnel.
- Former military aviation related experience related to training, with ten (10) years of military aviation experience and 1000 total flight hours including any flight simulator training.
