Logistics Manager

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Logistics Manager **to join our team

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Supervises team of site logistics representatives.
- Creates the basis of logistics objectives for the scope and area assigned to support the construction of permanent and temporary works. Collaborates with Engineering, Project Controls and Construction colleagues to establish the objectives
- Responsible for planning and compliance monitoring of logistics operations in the context of the strategic objectives for the assigned project(s), including movements of construction materials, equipment, and people.
- Collaborates across geographic regions and projects to optimize logistics service provisions and facilities.
- Understands the contract requirements for logistics within the construction contracts for their assigned areas.
- Planning and monitoring of contractor supply chain logistics including planning unusual movements.
- Develops Scope of Work, budget, contract packaging and other commercial documents required to implement logistics provisions via service providers or contractors.
- Supports the Laydown Area Access Request (LAAR) process for new land plot requirements or changes to existing land plot requirements.
- Understands and monitors Land Use Permits in relation to logistics and works to avoid LUP non-compliance.
- Configuration management of logistics facilities and services, taking actions where existing plans are found to be ineffective or in need of improvement. Supports the sub-region directors and Head of Operational Logistics to achieve their construction delivery objectives through the sound implementation of logistics planning.
- Provides reports and communicates presentations to management relating to existing, emerging or changing logistics planning.
- Supervises mitigation action where there is contractor non-compliance against their Logistics Plan or Traffic Management Plan or where the approved plan is not effective under the conditions; provides escalation through the delivery team management where required.
- Understands the overall site logistics requirements for each contractor and facilitates coordination between contractors.
- Provides continuous improvement on logistics planning and effective implementation through proactive dialogue with contractors and with management.
- Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
