Planning & Controlling Engineer

**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated **_Planning & Controlling Engineer _**to oversee and manage planning and controlling of construction project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate with Engineers from both Engineering & Construction departments to finalize all define criteria for the plan layout and schedule including detailed description, duration, start and finish date for each activity of each project and monitor the movement and accomplishment of each activity in a daily, weekly and Monthly Basis,
- Preparation of Look Ahead Program based on base line program and physical condition of site,
- Preparation of Project Daily/weekly & monthly progress reports,
- Develop the activities, durations as per productivity norms, logic, resources, and progress for the assigned projects sub-elements, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance,
- Preparation of Baseline Schedule (Level 3 or 4) in Coordination with the Project team including timeframes, resources & equipment schedule/histograms, submittal logs, cost loading,
- Review Baseline and Progress Schedules from Sub-Contractor,
- Loading/ updating the Actual in P6 to monitor progress,
- Deliver and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project,
- Prepare Cost $-Curve & Manpower Histogram,
- Analyze and prepare work - hour and cost forecasts for the projects,
- Attend and represent in meetings concerning cost matters,
- Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant system operated by other departments
- Identify trends or potential slippages and recommend corrective action to management,
- Develop project key dates & milestones that align with the overall project schedule, ensure availability and levelling of resources through the project,
- Review and understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project controls scope of services,
- Ensure reconciliation on a weekly and monthly basis between project cost reports and Accounting Department cost and billing information,
- Preparation of Subcontractors programs review and interlink with the baseline program, progress monitoring,
- Tracking the delivery of all the project-related materials,
- Reporting Project Manager about work progress and make comparison between plan and actual progress,
- Performing baseline schedule and control, managing the earned value management, analysis and reporting,

**Qualifications**:

- At least 10 years' experience in a similar role within construction industry,
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Certified in Primavera P6,
- Certified in PMP,
- GCC experience is a MUST, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Experience is ESSENTIAL,
- Ideally based in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
- Good numerical skills,
- Well versed in Microsoft office skills,
- Proactive & self-motivated,
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team,
- Excellent written & oral communication in English,
- Attention to detail, management skills.
