**Job Summary**:
As a Shift Boiler Technician in the wood industry, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining boiler systems to ensure efficient and safe production processes. Your primary role will involve monitoring boiler operations, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and adhering to safety protocols to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Boiler Operation**:

- Operate and control boiler systems, including starting up, shutting down, and regulating boiler operations to maintain optimal steam production and pressure levels.
- Monitor boiler performance, gauges, and meters to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Adjust boiler controls and settings as needed to maintain desired operating conditions and efficiency.
- **Maintenance and Inspection**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on boiler systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment components such as burners, valves, pumps, and controls.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems, and perform repairs or adjustments to restore functionality.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure safe operation of boiler systems, including handling of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections of boiler equipment and facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance, documenting readings, repairs, and maintenance logs.
- Generate reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies, management, or quality assurance teams.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond promptly to boiler alarms, malfunctions, or emergency situations, implementing corrective actions and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
- **Training and Communication**:

- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or operators on boiler operation, maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments to report status updates, equipment issues, and maintenance requirements.

**Salary**: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
