The Job Opportunity
The purpose of Training & Knowledge Transfer lead will interact with the Central HR and HR Shared Service and will be a focal point of contact for the Contract Manager, Managing Director of the sector and the Transport support team. A key focus will also be the management of the partners supporting the delivery of this contract.
Serco delivers essential public services to customers in KSA on behalf of governments, semi-governments and large private corporations.
Key accountabilities
Works with both the HR Business Partner and HR Shared Service management to agree and implement strategies that support business objectives.
Liaises with people managers regarding the people issues related to procedures and
policies and ensures that people managers work within the defined policy & procedures using the HR Helpdesk and HR Case Management team.
Provides a proactive and/or “on demand” advisory and consultancy service to people
managers on a range of human resources issues on employee relations, performance management, pay review, talent management, absence management and people transition management.
Responsible for ensuring the quality of induction within their business units and ensuring the contract specific induction for people managers and employees is completed
Implements employee engagement initiatives across the contract base to drive a culture of exceptional customer service
Facilitates the annual employee survey and works with people managers to develop action plans
Monitors progress against Nationalisation targets within their contracts and identifies areas for improvement following consultation with people managers;
Prepares weekly and monthly reports.
Attends audits and ensures accuracy of data provided by the HR Shared Services team in relation to onboarding, performance management, competence and business procedure compliance and ensures actions are closed following audit reports;
Support the development of training interventions from both internal and external sources to uplift the standards of the company’s expertise and competency levels
Ensure the on-going competence of all team members and arrange any training that may be required to ensure up-skilling and continuous development of staff capability
Design and ownership of Serco’s Knowledge Transfer programme on behalf of its’ client - conducting Training Needs Analysis on identified client staff members before designing and implementing a recurring KT programme to ensure adequate KT takes place.
Manage all Training and Competence functions which include operation training, maintenance training, supervisory and management training and succession planning
Identify and establish framework and plans for staff Training and Competence to support business strategies and organizational goals
High-level knowledge of employment legislation in countries within which the role operates and how to translate into day to day HR operations
Ability to coach and develop people managers
Strong people management and relationship building skills essential
Ability to work collaboratively, working closely with HR Shared Service teams to ensure joined up delivery
Ability to demonstrate presence and credibility within the organisation and manage key Stakeholders
Specific requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. A recognized HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent) is preferred
High-level knowledge of employment legislation in countries within which the role operates and how to translate into day-to-day HR operations.
In depth knowledge / understanding on KSA Labor Law
Six Sigma Certification is preference (Yellow Belt / Green Belt / Black Belt) is preferrable
Arabic speaking skill is essential
Minimum 5 years’ recent experience working in a generalist HR position in a Business HR capacity essential for this role;
Expert in training and development with experience in competency development, team building and change management, constructing and delivering TNA’s. excellent interpersonal skills and outgoing.
