ABOUT THE BRAND

Our name, Shangri-La, was inspired by James Hilton's legendary novel "Lost Horizon". Hilton's book was about a tranquil haven in the mountains of the Himalayas, called Shangri-La, which cast a spell on all who resided there.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Shangri-La Hotel, Jeddah will be housed in a prominent development with a 220-room hotel and serviced residences in Jeddah, the second-largest city in Saudi Arabia and the principal gateway to Mecca. Offering stunning views over the water, the hotel will feature four restaurants, function areas totaling 2,118 square meters, luxury spa and fitness areas, a swimming pool, a children's club, and several lounges.

DUTIES

The Arabic Chef De Partie should be specializing in Lebanese cuisine, responsible for maintaining a high standard of all food preparation and service in their respective Kitchens according to the standards required by the management.

KEY AREAS

Responsible for operations during all meal periods
Obtains guest feedback by maintaining active presence in outlets during operating hours
Practices and role-models the Guiding Principles and the Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
Attends scheduled trainings.
Coordinates with outlet managers for daily events.
Ensures timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiencies to appropriate area.
Adheres to the specified hygiene and personal Appearance standards of the Hotel and his area.

REQUIREMENT

Solid experience in Lebanese Cuisine in luxury hotels environment
Middle East experience
Fluent in English
