In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

**ROLE PURPOS**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Collaborate where required with clients, stakeholders, and Assystem team members to help develop clear plans for field work activities.
- Conduct comprehensive environmental and social impact assessments in accordance with KSA national regulations and international standards, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks such as IFC, EBRD, and Equator Principles.
- Undertake due diligence processes to meet the standards set by international finance institutions.
- Help research and contribute toward engineering designs and specifications for environmental systems, such as water treatment facilities, air pollution control systems, waste management solutions, and sustainable infrastructure.
- Provide technical interpretation, writing, and reporting on environmental and social impact assessment studies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills to ensure punctual delivery of project outcomes.
- Familiarity with environmental assessment tools and procedures, along with practical experience in implementing environmental, health, safety, and social management systems, is highly desirable.
- Possess willingness and availability to travel and conduct fieldwork as required by project demands.
- Exhibit adaptability to new and challenging environments, with the ability to work efficiently under varying conditions.
- Hold a valid Class B driving license and demonstrate experience in driving as necessary for fieldwork and project requirements.
- Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous for this role.
- Utilize Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiently for report generation and communication purposes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English language, both written and spoken, for effective communication and documentation purposes.

MY PROFILE

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors/master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or any engineering discipline
- Proven experience in conducting environmental and social impact assessments, preferably within the Middle East region.

**Affiliations**:

- In-depth knowledge of national and international EHS and social standards, including IFC, EBRD, Equator Principles, and Sustainability Standards.

**Years of Experience/ Sector**:
+7 Years within environmental consultancy or engineering or construction industry, with experience implementing project environmental management

**Job-Specific Skills**:

- Excellent technical writing and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and independently when required.
- Certification or training in environmental assessment methodologies and tools is advantageous

**Specific Experience with Key Clients**:

- Demonstrated experience working with key clients in Saudi Arabia such as Red Sea Development Company and NEOM, contributing to their environmental impact assessment initiatives.
- Familiarity with the unique environmental and social contexts of projects undertaken by Red Sea Development Company and NEOM, and ability to tailor assessments accordingly.
- Proven ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and stakeholder expectations specific to projects in Saudi Arabia, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices.
