Position Summary: Monitors Mill Production process, inspection and testing of product rebar/plain round as per ISPC procedure QP.02 and records results in Doc. No. QF.03, Spends most of the time at Mill shop floor monitors monitor parameters like WT./met, bundle weight, surface quality, bundling condition etc. Major Responsibilities & Duties performed: - Monitors mill process directly as per QP.02 procedures with respect to dimension, weight per meter etc, on hourly basis and gives feedback to production for corrective action if any. - Inform any non-conformity to Foreman in case of technical of difficulty like acceptance of material. - Monitors thermex process parameters as per QP.02, for every change of size and adjust the parameters as requirements of supply specification. - Continually observes the surface quality and length variations standing on the shop floor and takes prompt actions to quarantine the bundles for segregation of second quality/short length in and rectifies the problem at the spot. - Collect samples for mechanical testing and sends it to UTM lab. For testing and gets feedback on phone, adjust parameter if necessary, measure billet length, finishing and equalization temperature etc, as cross check. Other Responsibilities: - To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies. - To follow safety instructions related to their jobs. - To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff. - To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions. - To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities. - To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible. - To attend safety trainings planned for them. - Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
