**Position Purpose
The Housing Specialist serves as a focal point for all staff housing issues in KAAUH.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with external multi-disciplinary teams of care coordinators, nursing facility staff, home modification staff, fiscal agencies, and other organizations to arrange community transition activities.
- Promote integration and independent living philosophy for people with disabilities by supporting the program participant with housing-related matters
- Respond to housing and tenant related emergencies during normal business and after hours to include submitting and following-up on tenant maintenance requests
- Assess need for reasonable accommodations/unit modifications.
- Educate residents, families, and community members about the housing needs of identified program participants.
- Maintain thorough and accurate progress notes, files, and correspondences while maintaining confidentiality of tenants, staff and organizational information at all times and exercise appropriate boundaries with tenants.
- Routinely inspect all vacant units and correspond with housing supervisor.
- Respect patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
- Participate in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a team.
- Liaison with Security and transportation in issues related to housing.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum or Required: Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or any related field. with 2 years of Experience
Preferred : Master degree in Hotel Management or any related field No Experience Required
