**Job summary**:

- The Sr. Retail Operations Manager’s main responsibility is to ensure that all stores operate to the highest potential in terms of sales targets, staff development, retention of employees, quality of employees and budget achievement. You will work closely with each Regional Manager to gain support in achieving other aligned goals, such as expansion, promotions, stockroom efficiency, stock movement & losses, attendance and systems administration. You will also be working closely with the Retail Brand Managers to ensure achievement of brand standards, goals, budgets and visual standards.
The Sr. Retail Operations Manager will drive and deliver sales performance by managing sales objectives and operational costs, in line with agreed business plan. In addition, he/she will ensure that all stores maximize their use of space, anticipating and advising changes to layout based on sales or seasonal history, and implement options to correct sales underperformance.**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Driving and delivering sales performance of all stores and managing sales objectives and operational costs, in line with agreed business plan.
- Recommending business plan budget levels and implementing processes which clearly communicate personal responsibility at all levels for achievement of weekly/monthly sales targets
- Determining and implementing options to correct sales underperformance and initiating action plans on shrinkage and loss prevention
- Achieving targeted operating income per Sq. meter for each store
- Ensuring that Sales Through-Rate (STR) is achieved for all new products
- Improving Average Transaction Value (ATV) and Items per Customers (IPC)
- Leads weekly managers meetings to discuss performance and actions for next week to drive sales.
- Leads all aspects of regional business development including new store openings and recommendations for closure or redesign/updating
- Ensuring that stores maximize their use of space, anticipating and advising changes to layout based on sales or seasonal history.
- Ensuring that stores adhere to brand layouts and corporate look in collaboration with brand teams
- Keeping abreast of competitor activity and feeding back to brand and operations management on initiatives to enhance business and increase and improve sales.
- Ensuring selection, recruitment and development, and retention of productive and high-performing store employees to meet stores staffing requirements
- Responsible for success of regional stock level adjustments and stock loss procedures
- Oversee efficiency of stock density and opportunity status reporting, including effective use of all market data gathered
- Responsible for people development into succession planning, PDP’s and PIP’s.
