**Responsibilities**

Working in collaboration with the project team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following services (non-exhaustive list):

- Reviewing plans and preparing quantity requirements.
- Reviewing contractor's work progress invoices and certification.
- Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
- Liaising with the design team, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
- Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders and advising them on improvements and new strategies.
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, in post-contract activities, with a focus on cost planning and estimation of EHV Transmission projects or HVDC projects. Also, related to power systems, transmission & distribution lines, HVDC, substations, and power station projects.
- Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
- Team player with great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Client-focused, highly autonomous, and able to work under pressure.
- Comprehensive understanding of power system fundamentals.
- Knowledge or experience in HVDC, FACTS, or HV Cables, an asset.
- Proficiency in the following (or similar) software tools, an asset: AUTOCAD, ETAP, Primavera P6
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
- Great networking abilities. Fluency in English language, both spoken and written. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
