**Position Summary**

The Accounting Manager is accountable for the accounting operations of the Center, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Center's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with the accounting standards as issued by the Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
- Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with accounting standards.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the approved external auditor.
- Manage accurate and timely closing of financial statements on periodic basis in accordance with the IFRS and SOCPA reporting framework.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and recording of expenses.
- Review and approval of journal entries.
- Analysis of business transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- Ensuring all accounting activities are in compliance with Center’s policy, and local accounting standards
- Performing complex tasks and managing projects that require independent judgment and initiative
- Preparation of all reporting requirements of ZATCA.

**Competencies**
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical accounting skills
- In-depth knowledge in the areas of fundraising, financial and estate planning concepts, techniques and regulations Additional training/certification in financial and estate planning preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in revenue recognition, cost allocations, and accruals, and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Ability to self-direct and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in financial accounting systems, specifically SAP Enterprise Resource planning
- Ability to manage people and processes in a high demand/volume work environment with changing priorities
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to implement good practice on efficient use of resources
- Demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and community engagement

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and 12+ years’ experience.
- MBA is desirable
- SOCPA or CPA
- Additional training/certification in financial and estate planning preferred
- Extensive work experience as an accounting professional, preferably with an audit and accounting firm
- Experience in a managerial role
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken/written)
